CODE OF CONDUCT 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this Code of
Conduct is to emphasise the responsibilities of every individual connected with
Whittington St Peters Junior Football Club (The Club). It supports the ethos
expressed in the Club’s Child Protection Policy and reinforces the Club’s
commitment to the guidance given by The Football Association. 2. THE PLAYERS 1. Will play and train in a fair and sporting manner. 2. Will shake hands with opponents. 3. Will praise players for good play. 4. Will not seek to gain an unfair advantage. 5. Will not intimidate or abuse. 6. Will study the laws of the game and adhere to them. 7. Will take victory modestly and defeat graciously. 8. Will respect referees, officials and any decision made by them and will not argue. 9. Will not lose self-control nor retaliate. 10. Will play to win fairly and enjoy themselves. 11. Will exhibit good behaviour at all times 12. Will recognise that football is restricted to designated playing areas 13. Will ensure that their subscriptions are paid on time 14.
Will inform team official/coach of any injury sustained 3. THE COACHES/TEAM OFFICIALS 1. Will adhere to all guidelines laid down by the Rules of The Football Association. 2. Will respect the rights, dignity and worth of each player. 3. Will treat all players equitably. 4. Will place the wellbeing and safety of each player above all other considerations. 5. Will encourage all players. 6. Will set an example for players by promoting the positive aspects of the sport. 7. Will not seek to gain an advantage by exerting influence or encouraging unfair play. 8. Will ensure that activities are appropriate for the age, maturity and ability of the players. 9. Will take victory modestly and defeat graciously. 10.

not argue. 4.
SPECTATORS/PARENTS 1.
Will respect the rights, dignity and worth of each player. 2.
Will not intimidate or abuse. 3.

Will not encourage unfair play. 6.
Will ensure that vocal encouragement will be of a positive nature only. 5.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURES In
the event that any member feels that he/she has suffered discrimination in any
way, or that the Club Policies, Rules or Code of Conduct have been broken, then
they should follow the procedures below. 1.
They should report the matter to the Club Secretary or other Committee
member. The report should include: a.
Details of what, when and where the occurrence took place. b.
Any witness statements and names. c.
Names of any others who have been treated in a similar way. d.
Details of any former complaints made about the incident, date, when and
to whom. e.
A preference for a solution to the incident.
6.
DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES In
accordance with Paragraph 7b of the Club’s rules the Club Committee will have
the power to expel any member who, in the Club Committee’s opinion, fails to
abide by this Code of Conduct or breaches any other of the Club’s Rules or
Policies. In the event of a complaint or notification of breach of Rules or
Policies: 1.
The Club’s Management Committee will sit for any required or requested
hearing. 2.
The Club’s Management Committee will have the power to: a.
Warn as to future conduct b.
Suspend from membership c.
Remove from membership Any person found to have broken the Club’s Rules, Policies or Code of Conduct |
